General List of In-Scope Public Hospital Services Eligibility Policy

Each year, the Independent Health and Aged Care Pricing Authority (IHACPA) publishes the General List of In-Scope Public Hospital Services as part of the national efficient price determination. The general list defines the public hospital services eligible for Commonwealth funding, except where funding is otherwise agreed between the Commonwealth and a state or territory.
The General List of In-Scope Public Hospital Services Eligibility Policy outlines the scope of public hospital services that form the general list and provides guidance for state and territory governments on the process to request IHACPA to consider services for inclusion or exclusion from the general list.
The current version of this policy is Version 8.1.
