Exchange of Letters between IHACPA and the Department of Health and Aged Care

An Exchange of Letters between Independent Health and Aged Care Pricing Authority (IHACPA) and the Department of Health and Aged Care (the Department) commenced on 22 September 2023.
The Exchange of Letters outlines the arrangements in place to support coordination, cooperation and information sharing between IHACPA and the Department for the purpose of undertaking their legislated responsibilities.
Under section 86-4A of the Aged Care Act 1997, IHACPA may disclose protected information gathered during the performance of its functions to support the policy responsibilities of the system operator, the Department.
