Development of a table of standard costs for conducting Clinical Trials in Australia: final report

Date published: 2 September 2013

The Australian Government established the Clinical Trials Action Group (CTAG), in October 2009, to boost Australia’s profile as a preferred destination for conducting clinical trials. The CTAG report, containing 11 recommendations endorsed by the Australian Government, was released by Ministers Roxon and Carr in March, 2011 with a commitment to implementation. Recommendation C of that report requires that the Independent Hospital Pricing Authority (IHPA) be directed to develop a table of standard costs associated with conducting clinical trials in Australia.
